This superior series, full of traditional beauty is a collaboration between Tsuge and the lacquer craft workshop Aizu Nunobun. This line of pipes pay their respect to the works of Namiki, who in 1928 created these for Dunhill. Artists of Kokkohkai apply lacquer (maki-e) on works such as fountain pens and watches. Deep black color is applied even to the bamboo stem/shank that brings a sense of unity to the pipe. The maki-e artist Shingeo Komatsu painted plants which represent the four seasons of Japan on each bowl.
